One Big Trip (+ DVD) ReviewI love this CD/DVD. Features new material by Del, J5, Heiroglyphics, Swollen Members, Dilated peoples and some other sick artists. This cd is an even full sound of some of the best talent in hiphop. The sound is deep, bassy and original. I love "the Del" showing up on a few other tracks. The DVD is a nice addition. Featuring the movie One Big Trip. A bunch of guys and girls going cross-country doing the best "highs" while waiting for the millenium and interviewing people on the street. Step Up 3D (OST) ReviewI love dance movies because in general, they have awesome soundtracks. Step Up in 3D certainly doesn't disappoint. These songs may not say something profound about the world but they can certainly make you want to dance. While there are several nice club songs, my favorite is definitely "Bust Your Windows" by Jazmine Sullivan--the song is a slower with a sensual vibe more fitting the tango than getting crunk. Definitive Jux Presents The Revenge of the Robots DVD (2003) Reviewthis is an essential dvd if you are into def jux. its about 200 minutes of footage, so you dont feel cheated like you do with a lot of other dvds. the tour footage is pretty cool. el-p, lif, and rjd2 go around the united states, along with copywrite, cage, and dj fakts one. pretty funny stuff...including el-p slapping some kid, el-p talking about lif's PS2 obsession, and tons of other funny stuff.
the documentary is also pretty good. a lot of footage of el-p, aesop rock, and vast aire from can ox. live videos of 2 lif songs, an rjd2 song, and 2 from el. there are also a couple music videos including the veryfunny Murs one featuring shock g and humpty.

Divine Fire: The Story of Jedi Mind Tricks (2009) ReviewI may not be the best person to review this product, but since there have been no other reviews, I feel obligated to help out some of you looking to purchase.
Let me first say I'm a huge Jedi Mind Tricks fan, but only recently. I have listened religiously to all their albums, including AotP stuff too. This review is not on their music, which I think is exceptional and wholly unique in a genre of music that needs innovation and revitalization.
I bought this dvd, like many of you, expecting a legit documentary on the group, with in-depth footage and analysis of all members (esp. the mysterious Stoupe) and all their albums. But, instead of boring you with long windedness, here's a list of pros and cons to summarize:
PROS:
good behind the scenes footage
decent length
overall good product design quality
covers the first 5 albums
lot of tour footage
contains 4 music videos
at least it offers "something" about stoupe
CONS:
NOT a real documentary
it's basically behind the scenes footage over a somewhat coherent chronological span with some vinnie paz narration thrown in
waaaaaaaaay too much rock the bells footage that should've been bonus features, not on the main documentary
barely any light is shed on Stoupe, the enemy of mandkind, who is the extremely underrated producer/fan-dubbed "star" of the group
no coverage of their latest album a history of violence, which wasn't that great, but i expected at least a mention of the album and the reunion and reason of reunion with Jus Allah.
glanced over visions of gandhi and legacy of blood, no mention of BIG name stars on those albums like GZA, Canibus, Kool G Rap, etc
annoying rock music, poor music selection even though they basically had unlimited jmt songs to choose from, very disappointing
no cohesiveness, it needed a 3rd party narration over it badly
too much vinnie paz, vinnie paz is not jmt, jmt is paz, stoupe, and jus allah. Where are the latter two?
The music cd is almost useless if you have all their albums anyway.
In summary, I only give this 3 stars because I am such a huge jmt fan. I almost don't regret the $18 purcahse, but if you are not already a huge fan, don't buy it. If you are, it's somewhat interesting and you'll have at least have a little more knowledge and a complete collection.

This DVD is a one-hour documentary that contains absolutely no singing - no songs - and no performances by the Black Eyed Peas (BEPs).
It simply discusses where the various members grew up, different musical influences they were exposed to, and a bit of history of Hip-Hop music prior to the BEPs making it big. During the narration a number of still shots of the band members are shown on the screen, but that's about it.

Tha Connect ReviewI was skeptical when Amazon recommended this to me, but after reading some reviews and doing a little background checking, I decided I'd give it a try... the result: I'm rather pleased and it is better than I was expecting. Though relatively short, with only 12 songs, you get 1 near classic, 5 are ok, the other 6 are good solid songs, and none I skip over. He does in a was have a sound semi-like Jay-Z, but that is not a bad thing. Has a decent flow and mainly content you've heard about the streets before, and a few radio friendly songs for the ladies. The album has 6 guests appearances, all are on here just doing the hooks, no other rappers are on here. Production is pretty good as well, and handled from many different people. Khao and Reefa each do 2 songs, Jelly Roll, WOnka, M. Rell, Nard & B, Tha Bizness, Shondrae, Black Elvic Williams, and LT MOe all do 1 song. I Think this is a good album to check out and I'm interested in hearing some of his future work.

Wu Tang Clan: Live at Montreux 2007 (2008) ReviewAny Wu-Tang fan will love this. They perform most of their classics, and alot of them are performing at top form (Raekwon and Ghostface sound like on the album on this one, their voices almost haven't aged). Inspectah Deck's style is way lower now, and he sounds a little odd doing some of the older songs. He does give a great performance in the end though, as all of them. Alot of the songs are cut short though which sucked. Ghostface Killah's part in "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'" was cut, along with alot of other good parts. Loso's Way ReviewThis album has a couple REALLY good tracks, like My Time, Stay, I Miss My Love, and a few others but it also has some tracks that are absolutely horrible such as Lullaby. I definitely think Fab could have delivered a little bit better on this album, although it beats out most of the competition at the moment, it doesn't top Fab's catalog. IMO this is at the bottom of his catalog, I think almost all his other albums were better than this. In a nutshell this album is good lyrics, bad hooks. I'd rather hear that then bad lyrics, good hooks but it's not what I expected from Fab. The DVD that was included was ok at best. It started out alright but ended really bad. Lyrically (as far as the verses) this is what you can expect from Fabolous, crazy metaphors, good bars, and alright content. BUT THE HOOKS ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. What makes this so cool, is hearing Jay explain the process of making this incredible album with each producer. This album is arguably the greatest hip hop album of all-time. He explains the struggles, experiences of his drug dealing days in his music. I love this album because it's so real, in a sense just hearing Reasonble Doubt is almost like hearing a movie on audio.
