Magdalena: Released from Shame ReviewThis movie is great for the entire family. It sparks discussion about Jesus' amazing miracles, His healings, and most of all, His sacrifice so that we may live with Him forever. It details how Jesus helped those who would otherwise be "cast-offs" of society. It shows that no one is beyond Jesus' reach once they submit their lives to Him. It is a must see!Magdalena: Released from Shame Overview

Avonlea Christmas - Spin-off from Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea (2005) ReviewI got the video yesterday and watched it. I wasn't happy with it either. The sound was awful! It sounded like it had been copied from a copy.
They didn't even mention Sarah. Heck and family memeber goes missing and you don't even call Sarah?
I will stick to watching the reruns! I used to tape every episode (for my own use) I would watch them all the time. I found myself bored with the movie, something that never happened before.Avonlea Christmas - Spin-off from Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea (2005) Overview

The Velveteen Rabbit (2007) Review"The Velveteen Rabbit", Margery William's 1922 story, is a classic in the annals of children's literature. I loved it as a child, and continue to adore it as a grown woman, and have since shared it with my own preschooler. Thus, when I saw this new release, I could not wait to watch it with my daughter.
Young Toby [Matthew Harbour] is sent to stay with his strict grandmother Ellen [Una Kay] when his serious father, John goes off on business to New York. Feeling abandoned and lonely, Toby explores the house and comes across the "Magic Room", which is filled with his father's old toys, including a rabbit stuffed toy. As Toby's imagination is given free rein, Rabbit comes 'alive' in a lively world of animation, and Toby together with rabbit and the other toys in the magic room run free and play in a lively dream world. The animals, i.e. Horse [Tom Skerritt], Swan [Ellen Burstyn], and Rabbit [Chandler Wakefiled] all dream of becoming real animals, and as we all know from "The Velveteen Rabbit", that can only be achieved by true love. Grandma Ellen and Toby soon bond, but his father John is still distant, and it takes a near tragedy to set things right.
A mixture of animated sequences and live-action, this movie appealed to my family. Though the original story has been adapted here, I felt that the adaptation doesn't stray too far from the original message of love overcoming all obstacles.Purists may not appreciate this adaptation, but those seeking family-friendly entertainment will love it.
The Velveteen Rabbit (2007) OverviewIn this brand new feature film, one of the most beloved family tales of all tiem comes to life in an enchanting combination of live - action drama and animated adventure. It's the story of a young boy named Toby who is sent by his busy father to spend the holiday season in the home of his stern grandmother. Toby's world instantly changes when he discovers the house's 'magic attic' where three forgotten toys - including a special stuffed rabbit - unlock a world of imagination that will change all their lives forever. The voice talents of Jane Seymour, Tom Skerritt and Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn stair in this heartwarming story about how we bring the things we love to life, inspired by the classic children's book by Margery Williams and directed by Michael Landon, Jr.Dove Family Approved for all Ages

Sesame Street: 25th Birthday - A Musical Celebration (1969) ReviewBoth my toddler and I loved this video. For my toddler, it has several advantages: one, it's an hour long and can replace Sesame Street itself if you missed it that day (just get an Elmo's World tape to follow up). Two, it has a full cast that includes the newer characters who weren't around in my day: Elmo, Telly, Prairie Dawn and many others make an appearance. Third, the celebrity cameos are few and serve the storyline well.
As a former puppeteer and avid Sesame Street fan, I really enjoyed watching it myself. It has old clips that have almost disappeared: the original "Rubber Ducky" with the floating bubbles, "C is for Cookie," "I'm an Aardvark, and I'm proud," and some of the letter and number clips you might remember as a kid. I also liked that the storyline was filmed outdoors, making the production values somewhat better than other Sesame Street videos. Having a store of all the "important" songs is really useful, too.
Enjoy this video with your kids - and tell them about the "olden days" when Snuffy was an imaginary friend of Big Bird's and Ernie grew critters - what were those things called? - in his window box.Sesame Street: 25th Birthday - A Musical Celebration (1969) OverviewSesame Street - 25th Birthday - Musical Celebration DVD Everyone's invited as Sesame Street celebrates its 25th birthday! The whole family will want to sing along with this special hour-long collection of favorite Sesame Street songs, featuring "C is for Cookie," "Bein' Green," "Monster in the Mirror," and many, many more! Ernie sings a medley of Duckie songs, including "Do De Rubber Duck," "Put Down the Duckie," "The Honker-Duckie-Dinger Jamboree," and, of course, "Rubber Duckie." Big Bird leads the whole cast in a rousing finale of "Sing." You're sure to treasure this wonderful collector's edition of Sesame Street for years to come.Product Measures: 0.5 x 5.4 x 7.5 INRecommended Ages: 12 months & up

Disney's Sing-Along Songs - Happy Haunting (2006) ReviewThe collection of songs and scenes in this sing along take place inside the Haunted House at Disneyland and we are given the idea that the 3 central characters (3 kids) are inside the house. The story line moves very well as the the 3 children discover different passages and rooms in the house and in the process become more in tune with the idea of happy haunting. You do not see a lot of real life mickey and friends as in Disneyland Fun but you will have no doubt that this is a Disney film as they are presented in nearly every sing-along on the disc. My 2 1/2 and 4 year old enjoys this dvd and in keeping with the "spirit" of Halloween ask for it on a regular basis. I would definitly put this as a backdrop to any child or adult Halloween party.Disney's Sing-Along Songs - Happy Haunting (2006) Overview
