Barney - Good Clean Fun/Oh Brother She's My Sister (1998) ReviewI feel that I'm qualified to comment on "Barney's Good,Clean Fun" video due to the fact that it got stuck in my VCR and I watched it at least 25 times in a row. That didn't bother my 2 1/2 year old however, he requested it daily anyway. I bought it for the segment on brushing your teeth("and having so much fun", as Barney sings) because getting my son to brush his was anything BUT fun. Miraculously, it worked. He now ASKS for his toothbrush. Do you need help getting your child to clean up after himself, take a bath or cover a sneeze? Barney's Musical Scrapbook ReviewMy mother got this for my 3 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Basically, Barney goes through his scrapbook reminscising about some of fun times he's had. Then they show older episodes of the show (my guess from the mid to late 90's). If your kids like Barney, they will probably enjoy this DVD.
One proviso: I gave it 5 stars because my daughter enjoys it, not because *I* enjoy it. This is definitely not stuff for adults (well, not for the non-drooling segment of the adult population anyway.) If you're over 7 years old this will definitely fry the rest of your functioning brain cells if you watch it too much.
As for bonus features, there are none, except for some trailers for upcoming children's DVDs like The Wiggles and Kipper. It's kind of nice that they are in the bonus section so you don't have to watch them if you don't want to.
All in all, I recommend this for kids who are Barney fans.Barney's Musical Scrapbook Overview

Elmo's World - Families, Mail & Bath Time (2010) ReviewMy daughter LOVES this furry little red guy, so we naturally tried to get as many fun to watch DVD's as possible starring ELMO! Unfortunately many don't feature him throughout, and she gets bored, but this edition is jam packed with Elmo from start to finish. Each segment teaches your little one something useful: "Families" show various types of families; "Mail" teaches how mail is created and mailed, how it gets to wherever it's going; "Bath Time" is hilarious with a long segment starring Mr. Noodle goofing around showing us what "supplies" you need to take a bath. There are scenes with washing babies, animals, etc. Your child will easily associate their own routines with those played out in each segment and of course have fun singing the silly song Elmo plays on his piano.

Barney: Celebrating Around the World (2010) ReviewWe have multiple Barney videos and this is my daughter's absolute favorite. Not only is this entertaining, but it is also educational. They discuss the different dances that each country does, as well as the food and celebrations that each country has. Being a dancer for my entire life, I was even impressed with this video and its choreography. Tracy, Ben, Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop travel around the world to experience all the different celebrations. Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro has little ones doing the Samba. Ireland has 4 incredible Irish dancers doing "Riverdance" style dancing. (Everyone that watches it is simply amazed at their footwork!) Then they go to Japan, Africa, and India, all the while showing you their dances. A couple of the songs are the same ("If You're Happy and you Know It"...."We Like Colors"....), but that's it! This video is well worth the money! My daughter figured out how to change the DVDs, and I think she scratched this one, so it won't work anymore. Sesame Street: Kids' Favorite Songs (1969) ReviewOf all the Sesame Street DVDs that we have, this one is definitely my daughter's favorite. Though she is only 15 months old, she now sings bits and pieces and hums the tune to several of the songs on here. When my husband and I try to watch a DVD, she will run over and grab this one and shove at us to put it in so she can watch it.
Unlike some other Sesame Street DVDs, this one actually has somewhat of a plot. Everyone on Sesame Street thinks that Elmo is going to do a top ten countdown of his favorite songs on the radio, so they all spend the entire time trying to convince him to use their favorite song on the countdown - turns out all Elmo wants is some quiet time so that he can practice his top ten countdown (all he is going to do on the radio is count backwards from 10 to 1.) The songs on here are some favorite kids' songs - I've Been Working on the Railroad, Baa Baa Black Sheep, The Alphabet Song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Row Row Row Your Boat, She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain, John Jacob Jingle-Heimer Schmidt, etc. If you only purchase one Sesame Street DVD, this should be it!Sesame Street: Kids' Favorite Songs (1969) OverviewSesame Street: Kids' Favorite SongsElmo's getting ready for his Top Ten Countdown on the radio and everyone on Sesame Street wants him to play their favorite songs!
