The Wiggles: Wiggly, Wiggly World ReviewThis is a little different style for the Wiggles. They enlist the help of several Austrailian and New Zealand song writers and performers for several of their songs. They manage to make all the songs lively and catchy with the exception of poor Tim Finn who really missed the boat on children's music revisiting his 80's hit Six Months is A Leaky Boat with a slow tempo and phrases like "the tyranny of distance", but he tried. I still get his song stuck in my head and our beloved boys brought out some of the best choreography for that song to liven it up. I probably didn't make any friends with that opinion, but it just is not a children's song!
I wasn't sure about the video at first, but the choreography in all the songs is very good and it really gets better each time I watch it. My 19 month old really likes it. Not as good as 'Toot Toot' but mutch better than 'Wiggly Gremlins'. Which kinda stinks. No offense.The Wiggles: Wiggly, Wiggly World Overview

Sesame Street - Elmocize (1996) ReviewIf Elmo were interviewed, and they asked him about "Elmocize," he'd have to make excuses. He was young... he didn't know what he was doing.
We own this tape as part of our VAST Sesame Street and Elmo collection, since our daughter loves the furry red monster with every ounce of her being. But I have to say that "Elmocize" is the absolute worst Elmo video out there (well, that we've found, anyway). The concept, getting kids to move to the beat, have fun, and exercise with Elmo, is a good one. However, this unfortunate tape was made at one of the low points (in my opinion) in Sesame Street history. The cast at the time was, er, less than talented. So, I have to agree with a previous reviewer--the poor girl who runs the dance studio couldn't sing her way out of a wet paper bag (I guess that's why she's a dancer!). It's not ALL her fault, though--the songs are really weak here! It starts with the insipid "Elmocize! Elmocize! Everybody . . . Elmocize!" Repeat, repeat, repeat. You'll be thinking "Elmocide! Elmocide! Somebody . . . commit Elmocide!" And we LOVE Elmo! Even the Sesame Street kids on the tape seem really, really bored--like they'd rather be studying multiplication. Sesame Street: Get Up and Dance (2010) ReviewOkay, so it's goofy, annoying, off-pitch in places, but hey...the kids just love it! I bought the video for my son when he was 2. Now that he is 7 and my daughter is 3, I had to buy the DVD because we threw away our last VCR. They get a good workout from dancing all the way through the show. The Wiggles - Dance Party ReviewMy two daughters (ages 3 and 18 mos.) love the Wiggles and this particular program is loads of fun. Both girls dance, jump around and have a blast to this program. However, I was extremely disappointed with the DVD transfer. Hit Entertainment obviously doesn't think parents care a hoot about DVD production values on kids titles. There are no menus (the video simply begins when the tape loads), no features (a song menu would have been the least we could expect), and finally--and this is absolute rock bottom--the chapter stops are completely random, often coming in the middle of a song or skit. I realize this is an old tape being re-released on DVD, but someone should have at least put the chapter stops at logical points throughout the program and given viewers a menu so that we could get to our kids' favorite spots quickly. It's a shame that such little care was put into the DVD production values for such a good program.
