As the disc begins, you will see the holy bible in book form laying on an alter in a stain glassed church. The book opens and you pick which book from the bible you wish to read; next the page turns and you get to pick which chapter you wish to read or review. then that book you wish to read from opens and you follow along whith the narrator.In the "options" section in the book you may choose 1.play one book at a time 2. play in entire old testament. or 3. review the photos. (about 200)Stephen Johnston is an excellent narrator but dont think this a a boring monolog. Additional voices are used when a charactor is mention; such as Moses or Abraham etc, plus sound effects such the sound of rain during the story of the great flood in Genesis, and troops marching around the walled city of Jerico. futher inhance the nuance of this series. I'm still in the old testement but had to express my pleasure with this reading of the bible.
